Chennai Super Kings which had a great first four IPL season by being the runner ups, semi-finalists, champions are now eyeing for more wins in the upcoming IPL 5. CSK are the most consistent team off all powered under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. This year, team was willing to spend their entire purse in single acquisition with Ravindra Jadeja, having stiff competition with Deccan Chargers, and eventually beat them in tie-breaker.
In 2011, CSK had a solid batting line up with MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Michael Hussey, S. Badrinath and M. Vijay all allocating in the vicinity of 400 runs and R. Ashwin was the leading bowler with 20 wickets at 19.40 apiece. The only weakness which super kings have is the fast bowler line up.

Raina is the leading run scorer in the IPL history with having 1813 in his pocket at the run rate of 32.26. Add to that, Dhoni’s fielding tactics and Raina’s fiery fielding adds fuel to the team’s success.
New Inclusion like Ravindra Jadega and Ben Hilfenhaus have got the potential to take the team to a success level. Both have got an equal responsibility to their talent in this fast pace game format.
Opening batsman Abhinav Mukund will be out of the action for 10 days due to his twisted left ankle happened during Sunday training camp. Moreover, offspinner Suraj Randiv and Sri Lankan seamer are expected to join the squad April 18 and April 10 respectively.
