The Asia Cup starts from the 15th of June, and in the first game of the series, Pakistan plays Sri Lanka. All the games will be day-nighters and will be played at Dambulla.

All eyes will be on Pakistan and the kind of performance that they dole out in this tournament. after all that happened in Pakistan cricket in recent times, it was a surprise that all those banned or fined by the PCB were exonerated.

Of course that means that Shoaib Malik, the perennial member in all the troubles that have been caused to the Pakistani side, is back in the squad. So is the other Shoaib, Akhtar, who has often been in news for his problems with herpes, and liposuction surgery than the cricket itself!

How Shahid Afridi will handle the pair, remains to be seen!

On the other hand, Sri Lanka have a settled side, and with the return of Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, it can only augur well for them. Of course, what will help is that Tillakaratne Dilshan is in good form, and the selectors have shown some sense in dismissing Sanath Jayasuriya for the side!

My favourites are Sri Lanka, because the opposition is just too unstable to come out with some good performance.
