India will look to target inexperienced Pakistan batting
Now that is what is called a mouth watering contest. India take on Pakistan in the fourth game of the Asia Cup at Dambulla, and the lack of games between the two countries due to obvious political rivalries have ensured that the fans will be charged up fully for the game.
India will know that the way to win the game will be to overcome their lack of bowling firepower by batting really well. Batting first will be an obvious advantage given the issues that there are with the light later, and that will mean that the side will need to win the toss, bat first, amass the total and make the inexperienced Pakistanis struggle.
Pakistan will make changes to their batting. There cannot be any doubt that both the debutants cannot bat so high up the order; they need some cushion in the middle order.
However, that is not their only problem. To me, the other issue is with Shahid Afridi having already played his quota with the bat – he cannot be expected to be that consistent. Who else amongst the Pakistani top-order will then be able to tonk the ball away?
That is the advantage that the Indians have and will look to get the better of their rivals.
