Chasing 182 run target Royal Challengers had a brilliant start with Dilshan (71) and Chris Gayle (21) took a fiery start. Dilshan was looking great with his amazing batting and played some good start to chase the score. However, Gayle was also on his best strokes with hitting sixes and boundaries on the regular interval.
Leg spinner took two wickets by dismissing Asad Pathan (4) and Virat Kohli (9). Anand Rajan on the other hand, took hold of Gayle by rooting out the stumps just to the next bowl of Gayle hitting a huge out of stadium six.
But the true star was AD de Villiers, with hitting Dale Steyn around the stadium. Steyn gave away 22 runs in just 5 balls. No bowling plans were working against de Villiers.
Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan unbeaten 73 gave a good position for Deccan Chargers. The Delhi batsman displayed some good shots along with Cameroon White (45).

With Virat Kohli leading the team, he brought Dilshan back in place of Andrew Mc Donald. Also Prashanth Parameshwaran made entry on behalf of Sourabh Tiwary and Vinay Kumar.
AB de Villiers was awarded with Man of the Match, he said, “Did it for the team. We needed the win. Our bad fielding was what motivated me tonight. The plan came off pretty well. We experimented with the middle order. Mayank played really well. I know Steyn really well, was a bit scared to face him. We come off a losing streak; we need to take advantage of this win. There is no room for error any more. The fans are unbelievable.”
